Individuals & families
Tax Preparation
Individual, business, estate and trust returns prepared by a CPA who also plans ahead with you. We handle multi-state filings and the forms many preparers will not touch.
Individual & Family Tax Returns
Federal Form 1040 and state returns for individuals and families: wages, self-employment, rentals, investments, education and child credits, prepared and reviewed by a CPA.
New Immigrants, Students & Nonresident Returns
The right return for your status: Form 1040-NR for nonresidents, dual-status returns in the year you arrive or leave, ITIN applications and treaty benefits for students and scholars.
Multi-State Tax Returns
Moved during the year, work remotely for an out-of-state employer, or own property in another state? We file every state you owe and claim the credits so income is not taxed twice.
Prior-Year & Amended Returns
Several years unfiled, a missed 1099, or a credit you never claimed: we file the missing years, amend with Form 1040-X and talk to the IRS about the penalties.
Estate & Trust Tax Returns
Form 1041 for estates and trusts, the final return of someone who has died, and guidance for executors and trustees on distributions and K-1s.
Businesses & organizations
C Corporation Tax Returns (Form 1120)
Form 1120 and state corporate returns, the 21% federal rate, estimated payments, and the foreign-ownership and foreign-subsidiary forms that often come with them.
S Corporation Tax Returns (Form 1120-S)
Form 1120-S, K-1s for every shareholder, reasonable-salary payroll and shareholder basis tracking, so the S corporation actually saves the tax it was elected to save.
Partnership & Multi-Member LLC Returns (Form 1065)
Form 1065 and K-1s for partnerships and multi-member LLCs, capital accounts, guaranteed payments and the K-2/K-3 international schedules.
Single-Member LLC & Self-Employed Taxes
Schedule C for freelancers, sole proprietors and single-member LLCs: deductions, home office, vehicle, self-employment tax and when an S election starts to pay.
Nonprofit Tax Returns (Form 990)
Form 990, 990-EZ or 990-N for churches, associations, schools and charities, plus state charitable filings, so the organization keeps its tax-exempt status.
Foreign asset reporting
FBAR Filing (FinCEN Form 114)
If your foreign accounts together exceeded $10,000 at any time in the year, you file an FBAR. We list every account, convert the maximum balances and file with FinCEN.
FATCA Foreign Asset Reporting (Form 8938)
Form 8938 reports specified foreign financial assets on your tax return: accounts, foreign stock held directly, interests in foreign companies, funds and some insurance products.
Foreign Company Reporting (Forms 5471, 8865, 8858)
U.S. owners and officers of foreign corporations, partnerships and branches file information returns every year. We prepare Forms 5471, 8865 and 8858 and the GILTI and Subpart F calculations behind them.
Foreign Funds & PFIC Reporting (Form 8621)
Foreign mutual funds, wealth-management products and many foreign ETFs are PFICs for U.S. tax. We file Form 8621 and choose the treatment that keeps the tax lowest.
Foreign Gifts, Inheritances & Trusts (Form 3520)
Large gifts and inheritances from abroad, and interests in foreign trusts, are reported on Forms 3520 and 3520-A. The gift is usually not taxed, but missing the form is expensive.
Streamlined Filing Procedures (SFOP & SDOP)
If you did not know about FBAR, Form 8938 or foreign income reporting, the IRS Streamlined procedures let non-willful taxpayers catch up with three years of returns and six years of FBARs.
